The project «On-line Witness» is intended to be an additional help for authors to protect their rights and intellectual property. It is the basic positive thing of patents. Let's count negative things of patents. 1. The only way to protect an author's rights absolutely is through a patent registration. But this registration counts for good money (directly and indirectly) and takes time. 2. The value of a US registered patent is limited in a lot of countries, – it is just an indirect evidence.
